John Monnecka offers up a total package rarely seen among contemporary singer/songwriters. As technically skilled a guitarist and musical arranger as any great in the business, his edgy and soulful, baritone vocals may arguably be richer. And then there’s the passion. From his smouldering, blues-infused, acoustic guitar work lasting up to four hours without a break, to the most gut-wrenching love song poured out as though a private confession, it is John Monnecka’s passion as a live performer which defines the core of his music. And it is precisely this element which eludes capture by any studio recording, however well produced.

A Little History Behind Maggie Moore

Maggie Moore was born in Ireland over 150 years ago, her husband passed away suddenly and she was left at an early age with 7 boys to bring up.
Times were hard so she had to do the best for her family - knitting, sewing, baking and cooking for her large family. She had lots of recipes that had been handed down from her mother and grandmother, so she added to them and made all different breads - Pancakes, Soda Bread, Wheaten Bread, Potato Griddle Scones, Shepherds pie, and meat pies - everything made from scratch.
Maggie Moore's concern was her family and as time went by she decided to open her own little store so that her boys could achieve their goals in life. She did very well and to this day all these recipes are still used by the family.
